Living Cities

Included in UNESCO Networks, UNESCO Chairs are programs for the development of skills in higher education and research institutions through the exchange and sharing of knowledge in favour of an international solidarity spirit. Portugal has a total of 13 Chairs, one of which is under the responsibility of the Instituto Politécnico de Leiria, “Arts and Cultural Management, Cities and Creativity”.

The Living Cities project is part of this Chair and aims to research and produce academic content on urban management and policies for the arts and culture. In this context, a set of interviews will be published with six prominent figures of cultural policies, addressing their course of action and in the cultural/artistic territory, with regard to references, the process and the diagnosis it makes of contemporary times.
