WORKSHOPS OF ESAD.CR

To celebrate spring and with the summer season in sight, ESAD.CR’s workshops will offer moments to meet and work with students in the form of hands-on workshops. During the 3-hour programme, you’ll have the chance to learn about and experiment techniques, strategies, materials and machines, deepening your knowledge and creating enthusiasm and new possibilities for your next projects.
This edition takes place between 17 May and 14 June, registration is at the workshops and places are limited. Hurry up!

MAY 17TH

Clayroller
CERAMICS, PLASTER AND GLASS WORKSHOP – 5 VACANCIES

Exploring the potential of the clayroller for shaping objects from clay planes.

Risography
DIGITAL WORKSHOP – 6 VACANCIES

Realisation of a graphic print using the Risography printing technique. This workshop consists of creating the design (by hand or with the aid of a computer), preparing the final artwork, aligning the masters and printing.

Introduction to homestudio
AUDIOVISUALS WORKSHOP – 5 VACANCIES

Introduction to the use of music and sound production tools in the home studio context and its history. Which DAWs to use, plugins and other software available as well as hardware suitable for a variety of uses that the democratisation of audiovisual media has made possible.

MAY 24TH

Linocut
PRINTMAKING AND SILKSCREEN WORKSHOP – 5 VACANCIES

Exploration of the linoleum printing technique. Tools, equipment and essential techniques for making a linoleum matrix will be presented, as well as printing techniques using this same matrix.

Turning wood with drills and drilling machines
WOOD WORKSHOP – 4 VACANCIES

Exploring techniques for turning wood without using a lathe.
Participants will be able to learn how to make small, simple turnings without relying on specific equipment, using a drill, screwdriver or drill press.

Stage lighting
THEATRE WORKSHOP – 10 VACANCIES

Learn about stage lighting, from what a theatre performance space is to the equipment that makes it up. Various pieces of stage lighting equipment will be visited and their characteristics and use will be analysed.

MAY 31TH

Image capture on glass
PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP – 4 VACANCIES

Exploration of techniques for capturing photographic images on a glass surface, exploring the plasticity of this material.

Making a sketchbook
DIGITAL WORKSHOP – 6 VACANCIES

Creation and binding of a ‘graphic diary’ type book, using printed paper, various types of binding such as hot glue, wire bridges or rings. The books will be made by reusing already printed materials from the workshop or from the participants.

Plaster wheel
CERAMICS, PLASTER AND GLASS WORKSHOP – 3 VACANCIES

Experiencing the use of a plaster wheel to shape rotation objects.

JUNE 7TH

Multi-camera editing
AUDIOVISUALS WORKSHOP – 6 VACANCIES

Introduction to multi-camera editing using Adobe Premiere, which will cover the synchronisation and management of files produced by several cameras.

MakingTextile printing techniques
DIGITAL WORKSHOP – 8 VACANCIES

Making a graphic composition (by hand or using a computer), creating the final artwork and then applying one of the techniques presented. The textile piece will be brought by the student.

Trophies
METAL WORKSHOP – 4 VACANCIES

Creating a trophy using metal scraps such as sheet metal and various profiles, and using cutting, bending, welding techniques, etc.

JUNE 14TH

Salted paper
PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP – 4 VACANCIES

Making photograms using the salted paper technique invented in the 19th century.

Screen printing
PRINTMAKING AND SILKSCREEN WORKSHOP – 5 VACANCIES

Exploration of the practical basics required for one-colour screen printing.

Turning parts on the lathe
WOOD WORKSHOP – 4 VACANCIES

Knowledge and exploration of fundamental techniques for working with a wood lathe. The most suitable woods for turning, their preparation and possible types of turning will be covered, namely free turning and copying.
