Do Manifesto ao Protesto

What are the essential themes for design — as a transformative agent of reality — to have a positive impact on the world and on the construction of the society it is part of? What personal characteristics play a key role in maintaining an ethical and professional stance in the practice of design in the face of contemporary societal challenges? What can and should change in a designer’s attitude?
Reflecting on these questions, the students were challenged to engage in a critical analysis, an exercise that resulted in the creation of manifestos and an informal workshop of protest posters, demanding the urgency of their visions for significant and conscious societal change through the practice of design.
