Foundations is a collective exhibition showcasing the creative journey of second-year students from the Master’s in Product Design at ESAD.CR, reflecting on the concept of “foundations” as the bases upon which ideas, techniques, and materials are built. This exhibition brings together diverse projects that, through innovative approaches and in-depth research, establish groundwork for transformative and engaging design. Each work, resulting from the first year and the beginning of the second year of studies, symbolizes a process of experimentation and reflection, where objects, models, and processes are created to challenge norms and inspire new possibilities in design. In addition to physical pieces, the exhibition includes videos that contextualize the concepts and objectives of each project, offering a broader and more detailed perspective on the processes and ideas that shaped each student’s thesis proposals. Foundations celebrates design as a field that builds bridges between the functional and the creative, between the technical and the human, fostering meaningful and sustainable dialogues.
