Abaladiça
ESAD.CR Exhibition of the Year 2024 Catalogue
ABALADIÇA exhibition marked the culmination of several years of learning, self-discovery, and the challenges of imminent entry into the professional world. This catalogue is a reflection of those journeys, documenting dreams, anxieties, fears, voids, curiosities, nostalgias, enthusiasms, and boldness. Here, each work and object presented opens a narrative, a unique and singular expression that invites reflection. From toasts among friends to solitary journeys, from promises of what is to come to memories of what has been, we celebrate, at the same time, this farewell and its step forward.

Vir a Lume
ESAD.CR Exhibition of the Year 2023 Catalogue
To give light to hidden, to bring to light what was previously obscured in the workshop, in the atelier. To make public, to expose, to show, to make the world see the world. A burning flame, a test of fire, courage in revealing to the light of the public, which both illuminates and burns… Write os passage in this time of suspension, of transition, of closing one cycle and beginning another, with the presentation of projects and works by final-year students from all ESAD.CR courses and disciplines. This catalogue is a document of what the exhibition was: a collective work of students, teachers and non-teachers who produced, supported, dialogued, curated and celebrated being at ESAD.CR in 2023.

o eu na vida de todos os dias
ESAD.CR Exhibition of the Year 2022 Catalogue
The self in everyday life is a collective exhibition by all the final year students of the Escola Superior de Artes e Design das Caldas da Rainha (ESAD.CR), in which the works carried out during the 21/22 academic year will be shared.
Starting from the title of one of the most enigmatic works by Erving Goffman, one of the main influential Canadian sociologists, the self in everyday life addresses the importance of social interactions and how the individual manages the presentation of the self (the main structure of the personality, the central archetype of the collective unconscious, according to Carl Jung), shaping itself according to the social situation in which it finds itself.
Resulting from a joint journey in this school, the collective whose creation process is shared here has everyday life in academic life. It is in this daily life that they explore and discover their core – their individual, social and artistic identity, their persona.
