SEASON IMPULSO 24

Programme – CCC and SILOS, Caldas da Rainha

IMPULSO RETURNS IN 2025 WITH VARIOUS FORMATS AND A STRONG FOCUS ON PORTUGUESE INDEPENDENT MUSIC

Impulso returns to Caldas da Rainha in 2025, expanding into both a seasonal format and a festival, with over seven days and nights of programming from March 14 to June 7. The lineup features some of the most relevant names in Portugal’s independent music scene.

“Times change, but our will remain.” This is the guiding principle for Impulso 2025. In the face of ongoing changes and challenges, Impulso strengthens its cultural mission with its 2025 program: a commitment to emerging talent, a platform for established names in national indie music, and above all, a space free from prejudice—dedicated to the celebration of all musical genres.

For the organizers, it is essential that in 2025, Impulso stands in opposition to individualist, protectionist, and populist narratives: “Music must be a creative force that promotes eclecticism and multiculturalism, that is experienced and felt up close, in an inclusive way, full of possibilities, risks, and improbabilities, bridging legacies and traditions with newness and reinvention. It should provoke and inspire across generations—those who relive and reinvent themselves, who intersect and transform, while others are born, making each experience unique and special.”

With this vision in mind, the 2025 lineup includes artists such as Linda Martini, Lena d’Água, Maria Reis, Três Tristes Tigres, Fidju Kitxora, Vaiapraia, Bia Maria, and Rafael Toral. Emerging artists include bbb hairdryer, YAKUZA, roadkill, LEIDA, and Chat GRP, among many others. The festival will also feature international acts such as Baby Berserk, FOTOCOPIA, Sheherazaad, and Rizan Said. The full lineup is listed below.

Between March and December, IMPULSO’25 will take place across multiple stages, presentation formats, collaborations, and even a smaller festival. Kicking off on March 14, this year’s edition will feature more than 25 performances spread across the city of Caldas da Rainha, culminating in a free two-day festival (May 30–31) as part of the Caldas Late Night program.

Impulso will take over venues such as the Cultural and Congress Center of Caldas da Rainha, Silos Contentor Criativo, the Thermal Hospital Museum, the Church of N.ª Senhora do Pópulo, and the School of Arts and Design (ESAD.CR), as well as various outdoor locations yet to be announced.

Cinema also makes a return, with monthly screenings organized by IndieLisboa in partnership with the ESAD.CR Master’s Program in Sound and Image Arts and the Cineclube of Caldas da Rainha. These sessions will feature films, discussions, and shared experiences contextualized by national and international current affairs. The full schedule for this cycle will be announced soon.

IMPULSO’25 is organized by Pulsonar Associação in co-organization with the Municipality of Caldas da Rainha, in partnership with the Cultural and Congress Center of Caldas da Rainha and the School of Arts and Design (ESAD.CR) at the Polytechnic of Leiria.
