Marco Correia, developed bird monitoring and scientific banding activities over ten years. He is a founding member of Grupo do Risco (2007), having participated in several field design expeditions, carried out in protected areas of Portugal, the Brazilian Amazon and São Tomé and Príncipe. In this class Marco Correia will talk about his personal work and specific techniques related to Scientific Illustration.

Marco Nunes Correia Alcobaça, 1973. Graduated in Communication Design, FBAUL, 1998. Specialist in scientific illustration, 2013. He has taught scientific illustration and drawing since 2010, in several undergraduate and master’s courses, and is currently part of the teaching staff at ESAD.CR – Polytechnic of Leiria. He supervised around a dozen master’s students in the area of ??scientific illustration. He is a collaborating member of the Design and Arts Research Laboratory (LIDA – Polytechnic of Leiria). He is a member of SPEA and has developed bird monitoring and scientific banding activities over the past ten years. He is a founding member of Grupo do Risco (2007), having participated in several field design expeditions, carried out in protected areas of Portugal, the Brazilian Amazon and São Tomé and Príncipe.
He currently focuses his professional activities on scientific illustration and teaching.
