DİCLE ÖNEY
She was born in 1981 in Izmir. In 2004, she completed her undergraduate degree at Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Ceramics and Glass Department. She completed her master’s degree in 2009 and proficiency in art in 2015 at the same university’s Fine Arts Institute Ceramics and Glass Department. She participated in many national-international exhibitions and competitions with her works. Her works include collections such as the Latvian Mark Rothko Art Center, the Riga Porcelain Museum, and the South Korea Mungyeong Tea Bowl Museum. Öney has solo exhibitions titled “At the End” in 2017 and “Dwelling” in 2022 and has four national and international awards. She worked as an Instructor at Ege University Ege Vocational School Ceramics program between 2006-2007 and at Dokuz Eylul University Fine Arts Faculty Ceramic and Glass Design Department between 2013-2017. She has worked as a faculty member at Sakarya University, Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, Ceramics and Glass Department since 2017. She has been vice dean since 2018, a senator of Sakarya University, and a member of the faculty board since 2020.
