Estimada/o Estudante,

À medida que nos aproximamos desta época tão simbólica, quero dedicar algumas palavras a todos os que fazem da Escola Superior de Turismo e Tecnologia do Mar do Instituto Politécnico de Leiria (ESTM) um espaço de aprendizagem, crescimento e dedicação. A Páscoa, mais do que uma celebração religiosa, é um convite à renovação, ao acolhimento e à partilha. A Páscoa é muito mais do que ovos de chocolate ou amêndoas. É um momento de refletir sobre a esperança, a solidariedade, a justiça e recomeços.

No cristianismo, ela lembra a ressurreição de Jesus — símbolo de renovação. No judaísmo, lembra a libertação dos hebreus da escravidão no Egito. A mensagem da Páscoa pode inspirar-nos a fazer a diferença. Ajudar o próximo, respeitar o outro, cuidar do planeta e acreditar que é sempre possível recomeçar — mesmo quando tudo parece difícil.

A Direção da ESTM deseja-vos uma Páscoa tranquila e cheia de momentos significativos. Que o espírito de renovação se reflita, não só no nosso trabalho, mas também nas nossas relações e no nosso olhar sobre o mundo. Continuemos, juntos, a fazer da ESTM uma escola de excelência, não apenas pelo que ensinamos, mas pelo que sentimos e partilhamos.

Dear Students,

As we approach this deeply symbolic time of year, I would like to take a moment to share a few thoughts with all of you who contribute each day to making ESTM a place of learning, growth, and dedication.

Easter, beyond its religious origins, invites us to reflect on the values of renewal, compassion, and sharing. It is a time that transcends traditions and customs, encouraging us to pause and consider the importance of hope, solidarity, justice, and new beginnings.

In Christianity, Easter marks the resurrection of Jesus — a profound symbol of renewal. In Judaism, it commemorates the liberation of the Hebrews from slavery in Egypt — a powerful reminder of freedom and perseverance. This season serves as a meaningful reminder that we all have the capacity to make a difference: by supporting one another, showing mutual respect, caring for our environment, and embracing the possibility of starting anew, even in challenging times.

The ESTM board extends warmest wishes to you and your loved ones for a peaceful and meaningful Easter. May this spirit of renewal be reflected not only in our work but also in our relationships and in how we view and engage with the world around us. Let us continue, together, to uphold ESTM as a school of excellence — not only through what we teach, but also through the values we live and share.
